I've always used Canon ink jet printers with the last one being a 700 series. Even with repeated cleanings and maintainance, I get noticeale horizontal lines on text documents and pictures. Most every one of my printers succumbs to this problem and it gets worse as it ages. This may be just a problem with the few printers I have owned or am demanding too much from an ink jet but that is why I replace them so often.My father just bought an HP for his home computer which hasn't exhibited this phenomenon so I may a lier when i said that they die fast. But from previous experience, most of my printers didn't give me good results as they aged.</blockquote>
