Message: <blockquote data-quote="Hintzyboy" data-source="post: 4152422" data-attributes="member: 566521"><p>Yes, but you can't claim that blacks have been oppressed here for four hundred years.  I can't quite remember when the slave trade started, but it wasn't that much before then.  And before Americans intensified it, the african slave trade was not much different from the practices already in place among african tribes (meaning most slaves weren't treated much if any worse by europeans than by the tribes by whom they'd been captured).  There were white slaves and indentured servants at the time too.  The slavery of America was far worse than any other slavery ever seen.  Completely different</p></blockquote><p></p>
