Hey all. First post here on the forum! Heard very good things about this place, so I figured it was a good idea to start here. Anyways, I quite recently purchased an after-market head unit (AVH-4200NEX). After getting this installed by Geek Squad, I began to notice what sounded like a hissing/whistling coming from the driver side tweeter (I drive a 2007 Saturn Outlook, so tweeters are separate from door speakers). The auto tech from Geek Squad informed me that the after market radio is amplifying sounds that may have been there with the factory radio and I just didn't hear them until they were amplified. I also soon realized that whenever I hit bumps in my car, the tweeter makes a loud pop/crackle noise. I thought I may have blown the tweeter and that is what caused my issue. SO, I went out and purchased all new Kicker KS Series speakers and had Geek Squad install them. The noises are still there, including the loud pop/crackle when hitting bumps. There are rare moments that none of these things occur, for a whole driving session (A to B). But usually when I start my car again and move to my next destination, the sounds have all returned. I am not sure if there is anything that can be done to fix this issue, but I certainly hope there is because it is EXTREMELY annoying-- especially considering I am a delivery driver and music is close to a MUST. I would appreciate any and all input!!! **I had Geek Squad install everything because I work at Best Buy and have the employee discount, otherwise I would have attempted everything on my own! **EDIT I just read the sticky thread regarding a proper ground. Could that be my issue?
