The catalytic converter in the exhaust came apart, traveled upwind, against gravity, back into the engine? I don't think so. OP: I have never been a Chrysler fan. I have a lot of friends with Dodge trucks and they all have problems. A couple have the Cummins diesel too. The Cummins is a great engine, it just seems the Dodge truck around them doesn't hold up. I think Chrysler has always skimped in quality, and their designs are terrible. GM and Ford have came a long way since the bailout years. They are trying harder than ever to make a better vehicle than the foreign manufacturers. I wouldn't hesitate to buy a new Ford or GM. However because Ford has had a few "unconventional" designs in the past I would prefer a GM car. Although I'm going against my previous statement, the 2013 Fusion is so ******* ****. Not big on Hybrids but **** it gets my **** hard.
