[QUOTE="fasfocus00, post: 6511048, member: 576857"] get a f'n brain, how do you figure that 10 psi of boost is safer on a smaller motor. sorry but i've built cars(honda and mustangs), own a boosted car, and you clearly don't know what you're talking about. 4 bangers use smaller turbo's b/c you need exhaust gas velocity to get a turbo to spool up and 4 bangers just can't create the velocity needed like a V8 can. the difference between a "big" turbo and a "small" turbo is the exhaust gas velocity to get into boost. a "big" turbo is not made for storker motors or forged internals, bigger turbo's are made for motors that have large volumes of exhaust gas at high speeds such as a V8 that has all eight cyclinders expelling exhaust gas into 1 turbo or a straight 6 or straight 8. you also say that 4 bangers need high amounts of boost to make decent numbers, again clearly you don't know what you're talking about again. 4 bangers running high boost putting up moderate numbers have low compression combustion chambers and very little ignition timing. all the newer 4 banger run higher compression motors with extremely high ignition timing and are now able to yeild 300-400+hp with less than 12psi.
