dave you cant go wrong with the 1911. personally thats what i would get.

if you go with the 1911 stick with Springfield or Kimber

they cost a little more but its more than worth it

I've personally been looking at the dan wesson bobtail classic 1911

May just end up goin with a glock though, it will be going hiking/fishing with me so I'd hate to fuk up a nice gun like the 1911 :/

I'm not sure which model 1911 ...I thought Taurus ...but again I may be wrong...I have a Glock 27 .40 that sucker kicks like a mule...but it is durable

i got a colt 1911 nickle plated acp dam nice gun and nothing says fvck you like a nickle plated 45 pointed at you face. ide sell it but it was given to me by my grandfather 2 months before he died

Since I'm getting the Thompson 45 I wanted a good pistol to go with it....I'll get the 1911....I do need to make sure its a 45 ACP so I can use th drum with it....
