[QUOTE="IgnoreMe, post: 3250905, member: 551352"] finished installing a motor city reman 200a alt on my friends explorer. at start, rpms sit at about 1k, and voltage is nice. 14.3 volts when cold. after engine warms up slightly and the PCM lowers idle speed, voltage drops and drops until it sits at about 12.6V. essentially it sits at battery voltage. but doesnt lower than that. if you step on the throttle, to raise rpms slightly voltage instantly jumps back up to 14v. so obviously the alternator is good. problem is idle speed, and since we cant adjust it, were gonna need to pick up a pulley for him. we checked autozone and kregan and no one has it. even the stock size they carry have to be ordered. so...does anyone know where we can pick up a overdrive pulley from a RETAIL location? we have found a few online for pretty cheap, but he would rather have it now instead of having to run the car like this for a week waiting for the pulley to come in. so anyone know where to pick one up locally in the san diego area?
