When do new HU model lines come out?

I really want a new system for my car but I can't find a perfect HU. Every one of them that I like has some fatal flaw (ie. Pioneer doesn't scroll, long pause b/w mp3s, etc..) I really think some HUs will improve a lot the next go around. Does anyone know when new units will come out for pioneer and alpine?
