Mattoon is also known as "Methtoon" and used to be known for having one of the highest rates of manufacturers as well as users in the US. Pretty sad, however, throughout the last 5 years it has slowly been getting better since Task Forces, DEA, and other drug forces came around to take action against the crystal meth users/manufacturers (Some forces even came from other states like TX to help). I've seen houses around here blow up/catch fire all the time due to the manufacturers failing their cooking process. I'd say in every block there is at least one user of crystal meth and more depending on area in town. Crazy stuff..</p></blockquote><p></p>
