What the hell this box shit is so confusing...

Many manufacturers might give a range or multiple box sizes (JL Audio used to have a book with recommendations and grades. If you want SPL, this box/sub combo might get a B+, but for SQ it might get a C- because it wasn't natural (and for power handling it might get a B- as an example). All trade offs really.
