The truth is, I don't know what I'm looking for. Two years ago, I had a pretty awful Volfenhag 10"/Power Acoustik amp setup in a different car. I didn't actually mind it, but I haven't really listened to other subs. I've got a friend with a Kicker L7 15", and it's loud, but it just doesn't sound good. He's got it in an extremely small ported box, and he thinks gain is volume. I've tried to show him that even EQing distorts music several times, but he claims he can't tell there's a difference. I'm guessing he's just trying to deny the truth. I get excited about audio purchases, and usually browse forums, YouTube, and Google to find reviews on everything. I guess this is somewhat of a downfall, due to my tendency to over think most of everything. I guess I just want a sub(possibly two) to be as musical as possible while still being able to push a bit of air. I love feeling bass all over, but I don't want it to be overwhelming. I don't feel the need to post flex videos, or getting a super high dB. Maybe this post made everything a bit more clear? :/
