Okay...I'm new to this forum and somewhat know what I'm doing with car audio. I know basics. Here is what I have: 1991 Chevy Silverado with dual exhaust, Eclipse CD4000, Total Mobile Audio 400.2 and a bazooka BA1500(not sure if it works) I have several questions to ask and I hope ya'll will bear with me. 1. my truck has 2 sets of 4X6 speakers. would it be a good idea to invest in replacing them or getting some kick panels and putting some components in there? 5 1/4 is the biggest I have found. what kind of sound can I expect from that kind of speaker, I've never heard one before. I know i will need to amp them which ever would be best. 2. like i said, I have a dual exhaust on my truck, so its loud. I want a sub that will perform good at high volumes. I mainly listen to rap and some rock. I want it too sound good too. I have a single cab so I'm limited. I have thought about either 2 kicker L510's or 2 kicker L710s. they are offered in a truck wedge from the factory. what are ya'lls thoughts on those, or some other brand that would work maybe?? 3. I know I will need an amp for the first 2 questions, and I have put some thought into this. I have thought about going with elemental designs. are they good?? I have never heard of them before, but from the reviews on the website they seem awesome. are they underrated?? 4. what is a good amp kit for those amps?? is the ones that wal-mart carries good or do I need to get a name brand like tsunami or stinger?? thanks for the help ya'll. I'm also open to trades for the CD4000 if anyone has anything that will help me out. I've been thinking about getting a different deck anyways.
