[QUOTE="NewToTheGrounds, post: 1556193, member: 566589"] k heres the deal I have 2 x 6.5"s and wanted to hook them up to my amp, because my amp has 2 extra channels so I could give them more power than my deck could. So I hooked them up to my amp, and go to set my gain levels for them and my amp jumps in to protect. For some reasone if I set my gain below half and turn my volume up, my amp goes into protect. So I tore my rug up and pulled out all the wires 3 times over to make sure everythings wired right and had someone else to check and it is. I don't know whats going on if I run the gain below half on the 2 channels my 6.5's are hooked up to and put my volume over half my amp kicks into protect....any one know why? (sorry if this is so long) Not to mention now all my speakers let out a huge thud when my amp turns on and off, when u change to the next song or go back, or change radio stations...and that has never happened before.
