[QUOTE="Prowler573, post: 1307749, member: 561023"] It actually depends on the particular outlet, Jmac. Most restaurants in my part of the US, whether under contractual agreement with Coca-Cola or PepsiCo, carry Dr. Pepper. Taco Bell, inarguably one of PepsiCo's holdings, carries Dr. Pepper in their restaurants (I use the term restaurant very loosely here...) but all their other soft drink offerings are Pepsi products. The Domino's Pizza that I work at part-time is owned by the largest Domino's franchisee in N. America. He (the owner/franchisee) has an agreement with Coca-Cola and until recently only offered Coke products as far as drinks are concerned. As a direct result of poor sales combined with customer demand he recently discontinued carrying Barq's root beer in favor of offering Dr. Pepper. I would assume that other franchisees in different parts of the country potentially have different agreements with different soft drink companies dependant on locality and customer based preferences so this might only apply to the guy that owns the Domino's I work for - but it's another example of Dr. Pepper is simply sold wherever there's a demand for it. As it has been clearly demonstrated that Dr. Pepper is neither a Coke OR a Pepsi product I would suggest it obviously just sells wherever people want it enough to be profitable for the people that make the stuff.
