what do YOU use to seal up a dustcap?

finishing up my second recone and was wondering what everyone uses to go around the outside of the dustcap? i already have the inside part of the dustcap glued to the cone, with 5 minute epoxy.

the first time i did a recone, i used black rubberized CA glue around the outside of the dustcap, and it looked like ****.

i was thinking since the glue underneath will hold it, what about using a thin bead of silicone caulk to guarantee a seal and keep a somewhat clean look?

No, we use the vulcanized CA glue, it's just an art to figure out how to get it to look good..

Otherwise you can mix epoxy up and flush it out with a popsicle stick, it just takes patience..

CA glue, gorilla glue isn't bad either.
