Perhaps there is a bit of a need for it, but that being the case, there is MUCH MORE of a need to support human life in the US... yet people like 97dakota seem to think welfare is only 'given' to lazy scum.. when in fact our government gives all kinds of money to all kinds of people, and it's a LOT more than what goes to the Americans on the bottom of the financial ladder..As a point of note, I'll start seeing if I can find some figures about 'domestic welfare' for the poor, and how much money the gov 'gives' to business..</blockquote>
