I don't need another $1500 head unit which i would have to get the 1057XR now and spend another $1500 plus for the something that is identical to mine as far as audio quality and features just to get a bigger screen. And the BT 5.0-5.3 isn't even quite there yet so these people who have these are playing off usb and don't care but I still need my phone connected with carplay for the navigation, the internet connection for the integrated escort system, and a bunch of other features and I have lost it all since ios 17 and being that I have been a tech primarily troubleshooting complex issues working with commercial audio/video for a very long time I doubt this could possibly be user error. Just nobody else coming forward since they probably prefer lossless off usb anyway if they have these model head units. Anyone in here tho that has one its literally only a 2 sec call to kenwood they get right through if a handful at least call they will make one of the techs modify the firmware update for the XR series units from that timeframe. [QUOTE="SmartSolutionsLLC, post: 8867794, member: 690619"] Not to hijack this but how many people in here know what the best head units are and have kenwood reference series? Looking for anyone with older ones 2019 2020. Until I get more people to call kenwood they are refusing to put out the Dec 2023 update that keeps apple compatibility on the flagship models when they released it for the cheap garbage best buy $200 models simply because of volume. More of them sold to the general public who are clueless so of course more calls will come in. Also the people with the reference series already troubleshooted themselves before calling and dont bother if theres no update cuz they know its needed but this time i'm fighting them. I don't need another $1500 head unit which i would have to get the 1057XR now and spend another $1500 plus for the something that is identical to mine as far as audio quality and features just to get a bigger screen. All because they refuse to update their flagship products. The other problem is the people with these units know that to get even close to lossless quality audio in a car you have to load it on a usb and play it in flac off of that, the iphone is not capable of outputting audio resolution that high yet unless you have one with USB C i believe that solved the lightening cable issue with that.
