[QUOTE="audiolife, post: 6703906, member: 541383"] I have used a couple shurikens and I wouldn't say they were bad or not up to a standard but as in most things you get what you pay for. The kid that bought the shurikens bought them online and turned around sold them and bought a 34/78 Deka intimidator and a Kinetic HC800. When something costs less there are reasons why and greed/profit is not usually the reason why. If that were true (greed/profit) everyone would be selling/making the very cheapest product they could. I just find it rather ironic that a 75++ lb battery would be rated to do the exact same "watts" as a 69 lb battery from an older competing company selling power cells. Some people would say a heavier battery has more lead so it should do better which isn't the case all the time because you also have to look into the make up of the cells (grid ,plates and chemestry) and even look if the terminals on the battery are up to par with doing heavy current loads. Only issue kinetik has had is they sell out of stock, every post I have seen where people say "they can't get a hold of kinetik" I have called during regular business hours and talked to kinetik (4 times in 2 months). Some people will say "kinetik swells up" and post pictures of it when infact I do not know of a company that would cover that under warranty because every other company calls that abuse. During my time at kinetik I have seen 1 mod bank burned up being charged at 24v, a handful of HC600 and HC800 swelled up all hooked up to 2400-2500 watt amps (3 to 4 times the amount they are recommended for), 1 hc2000 swelled up used under the hood hooked up to the biggest gen XX hifonics amp running at under 1 ohm in a street A DB drag suv in 2005. The other powercells that were not swelled up that were warrantied about half took a charge and worked fine (actually used them to replace batteries in the electric fork lifts) Altogether in 6 months or so that I was there we only got back about 20 to 30 batteries and that included 10 seal tabs mailed in as well, with thousands being sold over that time. I guess thats why I sort of see things differently than some especially if I see a 3+ year old, out of warranty kinetik (can tell by the sticker) swelled up in a picture all the while they have an (insert battery team name here) in their id.
