C'mon now, all this is is right wing propaganda to stir you up into a tizzy about a black, socialist, secret Muslim President. And apparently it's pretty effective. No one is going to come and take all of your guns away, that's absolutely crazy. But should there be a ban on fully automatic weapons? Personally, I think so. What person has a legitimate need for such a thing? Do you need to pump 50 bullets into that deer to kill it, or to stop a home invasion? I myself and not a fan of guns and do not currently own one. However, I do fully support other people's rights to own a firearm for protection, hunting, or any other necessary reason. People wanting absolutely no restrictions on gun ownership need think critically about a few things. Where does the line get drawn, should you be able to own a flame thrower, rocket launcher, or drive a tank around, strictly because you want to and because it's "fun"? It's like when people want to completely dissolve the EPA. Can you even imagine what some of these companies would be doing if there were no environmental regulations? I fully admit that the EPA and government bureaucracy needs reform. There will always be ways to simplify and streamline things. But to completely get rid of it is absurd. Do you value clean water and air for you and your family to enjoy? You wouldn't have those if the government didn't put regulations in place to keep things safe. Massive companies are concerned about one thing, and one thing only...money. If they can save some money by just dumping the toxic sludge outside, they'd do it in a heartbeat. Yes, with government regulation comes some inconveniences. But just consider the flipside, and I'll gladly put up with some of those hassles. Bottom line, just chillax 'brah, no one's coming for your guns.
