I understand there are always wire debates. I've seen threads with people posting a picture of royal excelene 1/0 next to a China made wire such as sky high 1/0 which were not built off the same size standard in the first place. Anyone have comparisons? I was told by the guy at wireandsupply.com that their excelene is ofc which runs at 2.05 per foot. Cheapest I've seen for ofc if it was the same size standard as china's 1/0.....but not if those strand count the ratings are true for the excelene 2/0. It seems to be smaller on paper but I have not had it in person
Has anyone compared any welding cable with China wire? Xs american bass knu ect. Reason being is I spoke to a guy from wireandsupply.com and he explained that American made 2/0 is similar size as china's 1/0 rating because they over size there wire for looks. Also I looked at the Strand rating for the royal excelene ofc 2/0 and it's 1245 strands of 30 awg. Oppose to something like knukonceptz kolossus ofc which is over 5000 strands of 36 awg.
