Hello, I had originally bought a 2013 Ram 1500 in April of 2013. It had the base radio and 6x9 speakers in the door and the two 3.5" speakers in the dash. After a year of owning it the speakers started sounding funny. It was like the sound was very tinny and things like cymbals were very loose sounding. I had the dealership replace the radio but there was no change. After that I replaced the dash speakers, but because of they were 4 ohm it just seemed to amplify the problem, so I took them out completely. I then took it upon myself to install a new radio, a JVC KW-V200BT. After the install, I still had the same sound coming from the speakers. So then I changed the speakers, I put Polk db5251 component speakers in the front and db651s speakers in the rear. Even still, though most sounds were clearer, it seems as though some higher frequencies are coming in wrong. I've tried adjusting the equalizer but it doesn't help a lot. After the new speaker install I'm also starting to hear some crackling from the tweeters. I want to install an amp, but I'm afraid it will just amplify the problem. Where do I go next?
