newbie here. just installed my system this past weekend and am having an issue with my hi's and sub. i've had this system in another vehicle and it worked fine. granted that was over a year ago that it's been sitting in my closet. the setup is: kenwood HU single JL audio 12" powered by an RF 250a2 mb quart rsb 328 component (tweeters, 4"s, 6.5 (not in use currently) and crossovers) powered by an RF 200a4. first problem is that the sound is very low for hi's an sub. have to turn to max volume for it to sound normal and then of course amp for hi's cuts off eventually. i've tried bypassing the crossovers thinking they might be the issue but no change. if i adjust the gain it does nothing but make my highs distorted. i reversed pos and neg cables thinking maybe i had it wired wrong on the speaker side but no change. amp is set for full second problem is that i have my sub wired left + and right - and it's still acting like it's not crossed over (yes, amp is set for LP). i'm wondering if sh*tty rca's can cause this (yes, i do have them running next to my power wire and plan to correct that this weekend but i'm not getting any engine wine or anything). this is very frustrating. any other ideas what may cause this problem? thanks in advance
