I sent the amp out to kicker ZX700.5 and i ordered new subs. I am goin from 10 cvr's to 10 cvx's. I am also adding my KX500.2, and a set of Kicker SSMB8's 8" midbass subs. If anybody has any imput on what might have caused this problem to start please feel free to enlighten me. I am also looking for a crossover to run the midbass between 80-450 hz my subs below 80 and my components higher than that. Audiocontrol is to expensive and i havent had much luck finding much besides them. I found an old Ma audio eq and crossover on ebay but missed the bid. Hopefully i will find something. And i also need some advice on what i should run for extra power for both of the amps, the zx700.5 is 90amps and the 500.2 is 70amps, I don't want to have to spend crazy money on a bunch of electrical work but i want to keep it at a consistant level. I have a 1.75 scorpion cap right now witch worked good with the 1 amp. If anybody could help me that would be great.

[QUOTE="bacardio69420, post: 6795555, member: 621698"] I had my system installed for over 2 years with no problems. Then one day i had a really high pitched screech out of no where. So I went to work trying to find out what the problem was and it seemed that my rear set of RCA's was grounding it self on the case to my Pioneer DEH-980bt. So i taped off all my RCA's. It fixed the screeching noise but then my subs started popping and everytime they did my amp would go into protection. Well i ran new speaker wire to connect my Kicker ks 6.5 components to he HU so that i would have some sort of sound and i tried to switch RCA's so that i would still have subs. When i did this my amp popped and started smoking really bad i blew the 4 channel section some how. I'm curious if anybody thinks my Hu might be shot.
