I hate war protestors. One got on the news today ans said "Bush wants to send innocent young men to do his dirty work and die in a bloodbath like he did the Gulf War"

First off, wrong President Bush

Second, the Gulf War wasnt exactly a bloodbath, 125 of the 500,000 Americans sent over died

The protestors are the real terrorists, especially ones like this, if you are going to protest at least know your facts, they just want to do it for the hell of it.

Here we go again.. You should look at the thread about 'what do you think about the war'.. read all 7 pages of that //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

How can 10's (maybe even 100s) of millions of people world wide all be that 'wrong'? Maybe it's us that aren't paying attention to the facts.. Maybe our Government is telling us what they want us to hear and aren't giving us all the facts (Hmm.. like the Vietnam conflict?).. They don't exactly have a good track record..

I haven't been following the news enough to have an informed opinion about if we are moving too fast or not.. Though, I'm not sure the media provides us enough accurate info in the first place..

I'm not even going to argue with you about this. Last time I tried to have an intelligent arguement with you, you became one of the more more obnoxious people I've ever had the displeasure to deal with....I hope no one else is gullible enough to attempt an argument with this clown........I will leave you with this:

First you can read this - http://www.ecoglobe.org.nz/nuclear/duarms.htm

Then you can look at these pictures - http://www.guerrillanews.com/cgi-bin/wwwthreads/showthreaded.pl?Cat=&Board=gnn&Number=117360&Search=true&Forum=All_Forums&Words=samizdat&Match=Username&Searchpage=0&Limit=25&Old=allposts&Main=112883

Atleast they have the right idea...

btw, those are "good" links gauntlet...good as in effective

Originally posted by Gauntlet Yeah...the second link has some of the most disturbing pics I've ever seen in my life. Kid has a **** penis growing out of his head.....**** is absolutely disgusting.
And this is EXACTLY my point about the media NOT doing a good job and our gov NOT telling us all the facts.. How many people in the US know about the DU being used in the Gulf War? Or about Kosov? almost NONE I'd bet.. Hell, I live to hear this kind of stuff to slap our currupt gov in the face.. If I've not heard it before you know it's being kept secret..

Those pic disturbed me, and that's hard to do..

You all are crazy, sure there is corruption. But when Iraq is launching bombs full of anthrax at us, you all are the ones that are going to be saying "where was the army, why didnt the government know about this". This country and their leader obviously arent cooperating and they have stuff to hide. So bomb them to hell.

I call shotgun in the B-52

Gauntlet..............that wa ssingle handedly, one of if not the most disturbing set of pix I have ever seen............here's my take on war protesters......they are going about their feelings in the right way. Publicly demonstrating how they feel non viloently. I say we need to wait, try to get more ofr NATO, with us beacuse ultimatly lets face it, we don't gte Europe, and Northamerica, and a percentage of Asia with us, North Korea, and basically all of the Middle East are going to unlease "dirty" **** on us. We will basically kill everyone, the soldiers, suvillians, and the homeless.........................this kinda **** sux.

Good point, but bottom line is, if we dont go to war and take over the Hussein regime, we are going to ease up and Iraq is going to go back the same path. Thats the bottom line. It's what happens, we can eiother not go to war and let Iraq slide, or stop the rgime for good. Either way we are going to hope Saddam dies or go to war eventually.

The flaw in your thinking is that 'winning' the war will remove Saddam from power.. guess what, it didn't happen 12 years ago, and it isn't gonna friggn happen now..

If we wanted him dead, he'd be dead.. If we go to war and desimate his country, we will leave him in power and be dealing with him again in 10 - 15 years.. and have caused horrible travesty to the Iraqi people (more depleted uranium left all over)..

Want to do this right? the Global community NEEDS to legislate a law that lets the global community vote to remove a leader for just cause.. then we can, as a global community, inform Saddam that he is a psycho fuk and is hereby removed from office.. When he complains, walk in and take him out (most of his troops fear his wrath, if he is in an international prison, they have nothing to fear and may well let us walk in and pick him up)..

*shrug* rushing into war isn't the right idea.. we have to keep searching out options.. if he has chem/bio weapons, there will be a LOT of Iraqi civillians and American troops that are going to die as soon as this starts.. Not something I want to see..

We arent going to destroy them and leave Saddam in power. The plan is to leave UN or American troops in Iraq for 2 years, like we did Afganistan. The U.S. if for real this time about getting Saddam out.

*makes the 'bah blah blah' sign*

We'll see.. why didn't papa Bush occupy Iraq until a more suitable replacement was found? Rules of war.. Unless he's brought up on war crimes and killed he will have a 'right' to remain in power.. Do you really think he will just let us occupy 'his' land? He will unleash every single nastyness he has on us first.. and kill a LOT of people.. *sigh*

Savant - let mpsilkk376 live in his own little world. He's 16 and is - quite frankly - an idiot. He was like 5 when the Gulf War happened, so his comments about the war are completely invalid, as are his comments about the war now. Just be happy he isn't in power and never will be.

After all, ignorance is bliss.

Based on prior readings on this board, it is evident that most here are left wingers.

In this case- the following will offend you.

17 UN resolutions over 12 years requiring Iraq to disarm.

12 years, and the left still wants "more time?"

Mr. Powell and Mr. Blix both stated that Iraq has not complied; and provided extensive in-depth and accurate information.

Among these Resolutions, most notably UN Resolution 1441.

This resolution particularly stressed the issue that Iraq disarm and provide proof to the UN and US that all thier weapons of mass destruction have been destroyed.

Iraq has not complied. Simple logic dictates that War would not be an issue at the moment if they had complied.

Per each UN resolution, it is up to Iraq to provide proof.

Per these same resolutions, the burden of proof does not fall to the US.

Why is it so difficult for the left to grasp these simple facts?

Post 9-11, nearly all US Citizens backed our President and also wondered why the US did not know about the attacks prior to them occuring.

Now the same people who united behind our President are becoming the most cynical, two faced, hyprocritical, persons this country has seen; when our President is providing solid evidence of a terrorist threat prior to anything happening.

Basically this is telling me that the left wing, anti-war, anti-Bush, anti-SUV, crowd desires another attack upon the US where more lives are lost before we strike.

There is no logic in this.

Pacifism is Liberal Logic.

If we inundate ourselves with thier logic, we would still likely be Colonies of Great Brittain, as we would not have stood up to anything because we are passive.

Instead, we had a more logical leader at the time, that decided that going to war with Great Brittain was the only way to become independant, and free of tyranny.

History lesson- We won that war because we did not idly stand by; and because of it, we are now independant and also have a better relationship with Great Brittain, who is now a true ally instead of a one time foe.

Pacifism is not the answer.

take it easy,

-zane:confused:

Pacifism is not the answer.
I can't speak for everyone else - but I don't necessarily think that pacifism is the answer. In an ideal world, pacifism would be the answer, but the reality is war can be a necessary evil. The only question plaguing society right now is whether it is truly necessary in this case - and that is a judgment call. Some may believe it is completely necessary, and others may think the opposite, and both can have logical reasons behind their beliefs. The only thing that matters is what the people in power believe - as they are the only ones that can do anything about the situation....

The only thing I disagree with in this thread is mpsilkk376 bashing war protestors. They practice their beliefs in a civil and legal fashion and there's no harm brought about it.

Here is MY take on it.. Clinton was INVOLVED in PEACE talks while he was in office.. in the Middle East.. WE KNEW there was a threat from there and were actively trying to midigate it.. Dipshit Bush comes into office and IMMEDIATELY cancles peace talks as he thinks they aren't getting us anywhere.. then, within a year, we get fukked up the arse HARD?

*sigh*...

I'm no hypocrit.. I think we should kill Saddam and any other total psycho we know about, but the biggest issue is, we can't trust our gov to keep us 'properly' informed.. given that most of the motivation of our governement and it's capital leaders is greed.. not decency or rights or right and wrong..

The American people, along with her leaders, has become a mockery of what this country was initially established as..
