Based on prior readings on this board, it is evident that most here are left wingers.
In this case- the following will offend you.
17 UN resolutions over 12 years requiring Iraq to disarm.
12 years, and the left still wants "more time?"
Mr. Powell and Mr. Blix both stated that Iraq has not complied; and provided extensive in-depth and accurate information.
Among these Resolutions, most notably UN Resolution 1441.
This resolution particularly stressed the issue that Iraq disarm and provide proof to the UN and US that all thier weapons of mass destruction have been destroyed.
Iraq has not complied. Simple logic dictates that War would not be an issue at the moment if they had complied.
Per each UN resolution, it is up to Iraq to provide proof.
Per these same resolutions, the burden of proof does not fall to the US.
Why is it so difficult for the left to grasp these simple facts?
Post 9-11, nearly all US Citizens backed our President and also wondered why the US did not know about the attacks prior to them occuring.
Now the same people who united behind our President are becoming the most cynical, two faced, hyprocritical, persons this country has seen; when our President is providing solid evidence of a terrorist threat prior to anything happening.
Basically this is telling me that the left wing, anti-war, anti-Bush, anti-SUV, crowd desires another attack upon the US where more lives are lost before we strike.
There is no logic in this.
Pacifism is Liberal Logic.
If we inundate ourselves with thier logic, we would still likely be Colonies of Great Brittain, as we would not have stood up to anything because we are passive.
Instead, we had a more logical leader at the time, that decided that going to war with Great Brittain was the only way to become independant, and free of tyranny.
History lesson- We won that war because we did not idly stand by; and because of it, we are now independant and also have a better relationship with Great Brittain, who is now a true ally instead of a one time foe.
Pacifism is not the answer.
take it easy,
