its a bad room. circuit city has a better sub room. but i went in the floor managers car (complete with a DEQ-P9 pioneer....) and a 10" w7 in a sealed. it honestly didnt sound too difffernt than my subs. but im going to safely blame that on his settings, since he listens to spanish music. and i listen to hardcore. I've set mine to where they really punch, EQ settings, amp settings. His is probably more of a subtle kind of setting. the first time I heard the w6's, I was in my school, and a Go army hummer was near the cafeteria. I was half way across the school and heard the subs... and me being obessed i had to go check it out. it was 2 w6's in a ported box, the guy didnt knoww hat it was tuned to, and it just seemed like he talked like he knew what he was talking about to sound cool, haha. But the clarity and the warmth of the sound was amazing. Later I had to go to class on the complete opposite end... and i still heard them. Sounding much better than my subs. the way I want my subs to sound is to have that punch, but still be very bassy to where i could hear them if my car is parked outside of my job and im in the dead center of the building (if i wanted to of course ) . Also to be able to produce perfect transitions between fasstttt kicks. of course. I can't buy a 1000 dollar sub. haha. so ill have to settle with the 200-300 dollar ones that will get me close to that. Are the IDQ's really comparable to the w6's? theyre a lottt cheaper than i expected. Whcih is a good thing. So far through all the first hand experiences I've read, my experiences were most likely just bad settings. And if what GI JOEY said about the rapid double bass, I'm leaning toward the w6's.
