OK i know that it is terrible to have voices and other high frequencies going through the subs so i am going to need your ideas. Here is what i have. 2 10" Alpine Blues single voice coil subs 2 8" dual voice coil subs (i forget what brand but it doesnt matter) a 4 channel pioneer 180 watt rms amp channel 1 is powering one ten, channel 2 the other. channels 3 and four are bridged to both 8" subs and both subs are wired to produce a 4 ohm resistance. Now about my problem. My amp has no cross over and i am running all of this off of my stock radio and a 6 disk cd changer. Now i have heard a couple of things as to how to get the high frequencies out of the subs. what i have heard is to get a head unit that can regulate the output frequencies (is this true?) or i was thinking just buy one of those adjustable crossovers for about 100-160 bucks that can precisely regulate each channel. Now i personaly think it would be better to go with the cross over but i am pretty new to all this and i want to keep my system cost low and i dont need a cd player So what would be the best bang for my buck and will it make a huge difference getting the high frequencies out of my subs? Thanks, David Normandeau
