My friend's explorer.exe decided it didn't need to run anymore. On top of that, it won't even run when opened with the run command in task manager. I have no idea where to begin with the registry, if it would even be a registry problem. If anyone knows of a good registry cleaner that I don't have to buy in order to get more than "there are registry problems", that'd be great. Would running a hijackthis help? The last option I'll do is a format, which isn't a problem for him, since he's not a music buff or anything. I just hate doing it. He is a PC gamer primarily, so getting it up and running is a main priority. However, his punk *** does not have a floppy drive, and he wants to run RAID. Am I safe to assume I can put the files on a flash drive, and windows setup will detect it? Thanks a bunch to anyone who can provide help.
