[QUOTE="desertheat, post: 2627173, member: 557169"] Hey guys, this review is just to give my opinion so far of what I have received from the Ruskies..... Deck arrived in a James Bond style aluminum suitcase... WOW pretty freakin snazzy with locks and all! Inside the case is all foam and everything is layed out very nice. 2 CD's No idea what is on them, one looks like music. All in Russian.... One large manual.. of course in Russian... Two oddball looking remote controls with to many buttons, the deck, a can, mic, harness, some kind of credit card thing that may be tied to warranty and misc hardware. Faceplate is SOLID as a rock. Feels twice as heavy as any face plate I have ever owned. Ugly knob and buttons are tight as can be feel wise. Deck itself is a tank, very heavy and well built looking. Metal mesh screen covers the vents, massive rear heatsink. Putting the faceplate on is pretty much the same as any other headunit. Taking it off is VERY interesting. With the face flipped open, the face simply pulls off. Well actually slides on two precision round bar rails which gives it an precision feel, not just a plastic pop off type feel like other decks. The way they build it leads me to beleive in 1-2 years with a lot of use, the face will still be as tight and precision as day 1 but only time will tell. Face folds down just like an older alpine 7949. No motorized crap to fail. Just a hydrolic motion. In the vid, it does not drop down by itself as the deck as sitting at a decent angle., On level or up a few degrees such as car mounting, the face opens with the touch of a button. Remotes have a TON of buttons on them, not sure as of yet why it has two huge seperate remotes.. will know soon with testing and playing... They actually look to be the same functional wise.. just two diff looks..? Anyways on to the eye candy... First up is the video of how the faceplate works.. It was rather a pain trying to hold a camera while taking off the face hahaha. Anyways once I power her up, tons more pics to come and more of a review...
