i thought it was a pre-buyout but on the endcaps it does say powered by maxxsonics. But in contacting autotek they replied that nothing has changed since the buyout. truth or not? i'll never know.

Yes, it is a maxxsonics product. That case design came out after Maxxsonics bought them.

well the one in my cutlass is very good sounding combined with the W6V2's. plenty of power. Preliminary results are that IMO it is much better than my Viper 1200.1 was. i put the 1400.1 on my XXX and it just freakin wanged.

Nice lookin amp ya got there....what do you think of it vs. the pre-merge autoteks? Are the internals pretty burly?

i'm somewhat confident that it will run with the pre-merge ones. this will be on a pair of 12" W6V2's and i'll never have it close to maxed out anyways. Later when i get home from Pizza Hut (had a dream about Jessica Simpson and that new type of pizza) i'll crack it open and see what it's got and take some pics.
