Hello, So I have this problem where bass drops in songs are dramatically much more powerful and louder than the rest of the bass in the song, it sounds extremely out of place. I mostly like to listen to metal and hardcore and so I like to set the cut off frequency a little high to pick up the mids in the guitar and kick drum, it sounds really nice until the band incorporates a bass drop and it just hits extremely loud and out of place. Even when I set the cut off low it doesn't change anything since its a very low sound. I was wondering if there is any way to correct this? Now I know its not called a "bass drop" for no reason, but if you heard what I'm talking about it sounds exaggerated and way over emphasized. It doesn't sound this way when listening to the song on other equipment. My system is a work in progress and I still need new rear 6x9 speakers, and I'm hoping this will bridge the gap for the mids so I don't have to use my subs to get that nice filling solid sound of the kick drum and palm muted guitars. But for the mean time, does anyone have any suggestions? thoughts? Let me know if you need further clarification as well. Thanks, Prise
