[QUOTE="ahole-ic, post: 7123937, member: 619324"] First logical fallacy was by Snoop. They require you to have liability insurance on an automobile if you choose to drive one. Lots of people in big cities do not pay auto insurance. Why? Because they do not have a vehicle. This means you can opt in and out of this and the ONLY reason it is mandatory is so if you damage someone else's property or their body, the repairs or attempted repairs will be paid for. You cannot "ensure" your health. There is no certainty in health. Next, the wait in hospitals is already ridiculous. Imagine when EVERYONE is able to go. They will be overrun. Again, this is simple logic. It is fact. It cannot be debated with truthful facts. Our healthcare industry may not be perfect, but rich people from all over the world come here to have their operations. Why?... because we have the best doctors and technology in the world because we pay the best. That makes us have the best HEALTHCARE in the world. We may not have the most affordable etc, but my surgeries etc are not something I want to go cheap on. Next, we see all of the other countries in the world that have tried this, seeking ways to pay for it. They are all going bankrupt. Again... this is fact. It can be proven if you do your own unbiased search. How do we fix it? First with tort reform. Insurance companies get sued all the time, so to cover the costs for the payouts and lawyers they have to charge us all more. Doctors get sued all the time, hospitals etc. These sorts of lawsuits should be investigated and the lawyers who specialize in this and the people that do this to make a profit maliciously should be prosecuted to cut down on these lawsuits. That will all bring the cost down for all of us. Then if the government wants to become further involved, give heavy tax breaks for employers that provide healthcare for the employees. We cannot tax ourselves into utopia. Raising taxes will not get our deficit down. We got here by bailouts, stimulus etc. We've got to CUT THE SPENDING. Once we do that, we've got to get people spending again. How do we do that? You do that by making sure they have money in their pocket to spend. You can't do that with 10% unemployment. Nobody can afford to hire. You help people with tax cuts, that you just paid for with your decrease in spending. It has been proven time and time again that tax cuts get people hiring.
