when i first bought my car, it came with a sony 10 disc changer under the rear seat. and i never used it. i later got my system installed by bestbuy (about 9 months ago) everything is fine. i started un-installing my 10 disc today and everything went smoothly, then i got to the area around my head unit. I got all the wires out from my head unit, then there was the wires that came from the small box that connects to the 10 disc. there were 3 small wires. yellow, black, red. they all went into a harness and i couldnt efficiently pull them out, so i decided since im no longer using the 10-disc, why not just cut the wires. all they do is go to the small sony box so i didnt think they were necessary. now my headunit is getting no power, and neather are my amps. Is this related to the red black and yellow wires, or is it something different. i made sure everything was plugged into the back of the headunit. thanks for your time.
