This may have been asked, but hey, I'm new here! Anyway, I have two JL Audio 500/1 amps and I'm replacing two 12' subs with one 13W7. From what I understand, I can wire one amp to one voice coil and the other amp to the other coil. I know that they need to be in a "Master/Slave" configuration and that they have to be tuned using a test disk and voltmeter. My question is has anyone ever tried this and is it worth the hassle? Otherwise, I'll sell the 500/1's and get a 1000/1. I'm just trying not to lose the depreciation $$$... Thanks, Mike:up2somet:
