Been out of the car audio game for several years now. Haven't kept up with any of the newer gear that's out nowadays. I have a Trailblazer SUV I'm going to be installing a system into.. I'm having trouble deciding whether I should go with two 15's or two 12's. Last system I had was a small two door chevy blazer.. In it, I had CDT CL61 components run off a phoenix gold tantrum putting out 100wrms per side to the CDT's.... That was my front stage. For the subs, I had a pair of RE SE 12's. At first I had them in a ported box. It was a huge box. Didn't really like how it sounded, plus it was heavy as hell, so I ditched it for a sealed box. Subs were always run off a phoenix gold tantrum 1200.1 receiving 600wrms per sub.. Now the SE's were OK. They just never quite got loud enough for me. I'm an SQL kind of guy, but I also need some good volume every now and then, when I feel like turning it up a bit more, you know? This is why I'm debating going two 15's.. Bigger SUV, and I figure I'll need more to fill the cabin with the sound I'm looking for. I haven't purchased any equipment yet. That's why I'm researching and trying to figure out the best route for me to go. I don't want a super giant box, but I'm willing to do probably a max of 2.5cubes per sub net or so..
