I just got my hands on a pair of jl xr650-csi components and I'm racking my brain on the best possible location for the tweeter install in my 98 civic coupe. I have installed a pair of tweeters in the stock tweet location but they seem to scream and really send the front stage off balance. If I were to install the new tweets a few inches above the stock 6.5 door mounts then my left leg would block the tweeter (I'm a tall person so this is a problem). So as of right now I have two options. 1: Install the tweeter in the stock location and deal with screaming high's 2: Install the tweeter near the speaker mount and have my leg block the tweet I would like to know if any person in this forum has done an install in a civic and where is the ideal place for the tweeters. I have a spare set of boston rally 560rc tweets that I can use in the stock speaker loaction but I don't know how that would work out... given that ide be using a bridged channel on my profile ca640 amp to power each side (jl xr650 + an extra tweeter). I'm attempting to create a good front stage w/o kicks and any advice would help.
