So heres my problem i've been having. I havent had a system for like two weeks and its really starting to agrivate me, i dont know what the hell is wrong with this thing. My first problem, I bought line-reducers for my 0ga wire so that it goes easily into my nine.1, now the one went i straight and the other went in sideways, this caused a short, due to the rubber caps that go around them having a small hole, not knowing this, i sent the amp back to ED because when i hooked it up my ANL fuse would blow instantly. So what i did was I went and got some 4ga wire, and 2 dblocks, I ran the 0ga into the dblock and 4ga to the amp, So, upon waiting a week to get the amp back from ED, I hooked it up, and i wasn't blowing fuses. The amp went right into protect mode, I tried everything and then I realized that this wasn't gonna work. I called ED and they said that they'd send me a new one out. I get my new one today VIA ups..and i hooked it up, and the protect light didnt come on, and i thought everything was good. Also, I may add that I got a CHEAP lightning audio amp that does 50x2@4ohms to power my alpine door speakers, I ran 8ga power wire to that thing and then 4ga to the nine.1. I hook the nine.1 up and i started the car, expecting ear crushing bass, What I got was just random bursts of bass, and I played the one big tymers song "gangsta girl" it played the song for a few secs no bass then all of a sudden boom boom boom the bass came, Then i was having an issue where all it would do was play a tone, almost like i was competing but nowhere near as loud. I play with the wires a little bit, but the sub sounds like SHIT. All the gains are set correctly, the lpf is set, the subsonic is set, and the thing still sounds like crap. It's in a 4.5 cube box tuned to 45hz, i think the muffaka should slam. Does anyone have any advice as to what i should inspect, this one has me scrathcing my head..i hope i didnt blow my 330.00 sub.. Commentz plz
