Just as an update to this thread, (for the thread date checkin Nazis)I realize its kinda old.... I have been wanting to mess around with fiberglass and have been looking for something to make perfect MDF rings of various sizes.... I posted about a few ideas and no one really had anything better so I went ahead and Bought a Porter-Cable router (came with 2 bases Fixed and Plunge) and a plexiglass template from Parts express... http://www.partsexpress.com/images/365-260M.jpg I have heard people say 50.00 was too much for it, but I did really think so if it worked right.. So I thought I'd try it and send it back if it didn't work right.... The dam thing works great... Its so easy... You drill a 1/8" center hole for the template's center pin, laydown the template with the pin going in the hole you drilled, Turn on the router spin it around and BING.... Perfect..... Because its a fixed piece, it can not adjust on you and change sizes like the various other tools I have tried for my Rotozip and Dremel.... I only got to cut one circle with it as it was late... I plan to cut a bunch more tonight if I get time... Just wanted to let everyone know, if you have a router and your looking for a circle cutting tool, check it out... To me, 50.00 is not that bad for a perfect cut everytime... Hopefully soon, I have some free time and be able to play some more....
