[QUOTE="Slo_Ride, post: 8171938, member: 563830"] What better excuse do you need to drink beer than the fact that it’s National Drink Beer Day. Believe it or not, National Drink Beer Day is a real day and it just so happens to be today, September 28. If you already drink beer, you will probably embrace this day and do it right. Even if you aren’t a drinker, today may be the day you start. According to doctors and experts, drinking beer at least one day out of the week is actually good for you and can improve your health. Yes, you read that right. Beer can actually be good for you. It can help ward of cardiovascular disease, osteoporosis and diabetes. So which state in the country drink the most beer? According to the Beer Institute, North Dakota is the winner, with residents drinking 45.8 gallons per person each year. Texas comes in second, with residents 35.2 gallons of beer consumed per person each year. Nebraska takes third with residents drinking 34.4 gallons of beer consumed per person. True beer drinkers know that not all beers are created equal. There are hundreds of different flavors to choose from, with some being more unique than others. Some people even prefer to make their own beer so they can have better control of the flavor and alcohol content. So now that you are aware of National Drink Beer Day, how will you spend it? Will you be sipping on a bottle while kicked back, watching a football game or packed into your favorite local bar with friends and family? There really isn’t a right or wrong way to drink beer, as long as you do it responsibly. So go ahead and grab a designated driver, a group of friends and a twelve pack and spend the day right.
