So today was not a good day. I was sitting at a stop sign merging into traffic, and I thought I could make it in the gap of cars. I let the clutch out too soon, and the bike started to jerk forward (i basically killed it). Problem is I tried to pull it back (and not put it into oncomming traffic's way) but i yanked back on the throttle. very bad idea. Let's say the bike went vertical, i was dragging behind it and then we both got really cozy with the sidewalk. I'm fine, the bikes in bad shape. Wasn't going fast, wasn't doing anything stupid, just basically a shit happens scenario. However if i had not been riding full riding gear (and when i say full, i mean full) as in full helmet, full leather jacket, armored pants (+leather), boots, and gloves, I would have been looking like a roasted pepper. So if your thinking of getting a bike, and you think you look cool when it's blazing hot and your wearing a t-shirt and shorts and a helmet, next time you crash and rip off all your skin, remember me telling you to wear gear. I'll try and get some pics up. Basically, the gauge cluster area is ****ED and their is dent in the gas tank, and the beg and shifter are bent. The problem is the fork might be bent, meaning 1000 dollar fork needed for a 600 dollar bike. Here is to hoping it's not bent.
