No offense, but you think the Best Buy twerps can do a proper install on your alarm when they have it done in 30 minutes to an hour? Hell, even the local custom shops charge top dollar for a poor install. When I say top dollar, I am saying they charge close to $400 for an install that has the alarm brain zip tied to the steering column or within two feet of the smart junction box. Oh, that $400 is in addition to what you pay for the alarm! Regardless, my point is that most local "professionally" installed alarm systems can be defeated in 5 to 10 seconds:eek: It is all a matter of economics over ethics. The faster they get the alarm installed, the more money they make off the install. So what if a 12 year old can disable it in 10 seconds..... One last thing... the locals won't even do anything that disables the starter or fuel pump for liability reasons. The rumor I heard was that one of the local shops was sued relay went bad, thus disabling the vehicle. Now NO ONE in town even bothers to protect the vehicle from getting boosted thanks to some sue happy ******* prick.
