[QUOTE="KniteWulfe, post: 8196664, member: 568399"] In the original firmware there were a lot more restrictions. Also I have the Korean Drivelink which is a bit more generous. If I can't play music while the navigation is running (apparently no longer the case but not 100% sure) I can root my phone and use a custom app from XDA developers. Is the only reason people are knocking the Sony the inability to go active? I already bought it so a bit late unfortunately, but since it hasn't shipped yet I have a couple days to try and cancel the ebay order. If the active crossover capability is the only major difference I could still go active down the road if I get another amp. They both have a 24bit DAC, and the specs seem pretty similar. As long as I can still get the same quality sound, albeit stuck with passive for now, I don't regret getting the Sony. I really was in the market for a consolidated double din multimedia AV unit, though that Pioneer does look pretty awesome. I have preferred Pioneer since the 90's and about 80% of the multiple head units I have bought over the years have been theirs. Too bad they have little to no presence in this country. Car audio really isn't very big at all here. I went in to the biggest shop in this city the other day and asked them how much it would be to install an amp (it is getting cold out and I have no indoor work space) and they said they couldn't do it.
