I am going to have to disagree with the majority once again.
There is absolutely NOTHING wrong with the JL W0 line.
They are decent performers, and very well constructed; considering thier modestly affordable price.
A pair of 12w0's will handle the JBL 1200.1 without issue.
I used to push well over 1,000 watts into a pair myself, regularly. No issues whatsoever. More satisfaction than anything.
I would still not reccomend the JBL amp however. There are far better quality amps out there with similar power output, in various price ranges.
I would look into a few different models from Soundstream, Mmats, MTX, Alpine, Memphis, etc. to begin with.
The Alpine Type R's are an all arround decent woofer. Very responsive, and quite respetable SQ also. Definately worth a look into as well.
This leads me to ask why you are considering switching your current HE2 setup?
Are you looking for simple more bass? More SQ? More SPL?
What is your primary focus with your system?
The HE2 line from Rockford is definately rock solid. I used to run 4 HE2 15's and they were some amazing woofers.
I'd say, think about what you want your system to do for you, then make your decision.
If you are still set on the JBL 1200.1, I do have one that is basically new in box, that I am looking to sell. No problems with it at all. Just not what my system requires.
I also have a pair of Adire Audio Shiva's (12's) for sale too.

I am sure that you have heard of these by now, incredible subs with a lot of output!
If you would like more info or are interested in any of these items- let me know.

Seriously though, evaluate what you are looking for first; then go in that direction. Your ears will thank you!
