hey guys. I know most of you will read this and just laugh at my setup, but bear with me i am looking to change up my sound system. right now i have: -2x alpine type R (12") -a ported MTX box - 1.5cu ft per chamber -and a single kenwood mono amp (900rms@2ohms, 500rms@4ohms) i feel like these subs have their sweet spot, but any frequencies past that just lack (mainly at the low ends). oh and i am running these subs at two ohms to the amp. my first question, is there a way to possibly get better sound out of my current subs? i would rather not get rid of them, just because i did just buy them all of a month and a half ago - but at the same time, i want my sound system to be all there. but if i cant fix up my subs, then here is my next question. what should i be looking at? I hear the 13W7's are sick. I see some of these Fi speakers that are ridiculous. I see the power handling for the Alpine type X are way up there as well. which do you guys suggest. i mean i would sell of my subs and box, but i really dont want to be throwing down hundreds of more dollars right now. any suggestions? -kyle
