Then I saw the rod twitch, so I rared back and set the hook. When I did the rod almost doubled over. I thought holy $hit this ones a monster. I started reeling and it felt kind of funny. No surging or anything, just a constant steady dead pull. Thinking I got moby d!ck on the end of the line I tell my friend to get the net ready, and I'll swing him up next to the back of the boat. Got him up close to the boat, pulled back so my friend could get him in the net. My friend stuck the net in the water and about fell out of the boat laughing. I asked him what was so funny, and he said my monster catch.
