I asked him if the trolling motor was plugged in, yep plugged in. Is the fuse blown ? Nope said he checked it before we left. I said let's check it anyway. So he Pulled out the fuse and inspected it. Looks good stuck it back in the holder and presto the trolling motor works now. I noticed as he was putting the fuse back in, it went into the socket alot farther this time than it was before he pulled it out. [QUOTE="ramos, post: 511513, member: 540858"] Got another quick story for ya. Got a chance to get in some fishing this past Saturday. Headed down to the new river with a friend to try out his new ( and first boat) . We put the boat in the water, and decided to head up the river a few miles and float back down. Ran up the river about 5 miles before we started floating back. He cut the motor off, then proceeded to drop the trolling motor. Stepped on the foot pedal and nothing. The motor wasn't running at all. So I checked the batteries ( in the back of the boat with my fat arse ) Everything was hooked up, and had good clean corrosion free connections. So my next thought was dead batteries. Nope plenty of charge, everything else works fine with the exception of the trolling motor ( one battery for acc. one for starting ).
