The HK4000D is a completely different amp from the HK802SX. The SX is a class A/B (extremely inefficient) and the 4000D is a class D (still not that great of an amp). No, not even good bang for the buck. At all. Sounds about right, lol Yeah, okay. Neva! I had an HK802SX at 2 ohms. I had 2 G31 deep cycles and my 200 amp alt. I had voltage drops down to 10 volts. The amp went into protect after hard bumping for about 5-10 minutes or so. Not because of the voltage, but because of heat. It was like a frying pan after just a few minutes. At .5 ohms, it shut off in about 2 minutes. Absolutely the worst amp I've ever owned or heard of. Also, it clamped out (with the voltage drops) at 800 watts at 2.## ohms. Unless you have an infinite bank of batts. Please don't use this amp ever.
