Atleast Pierre played in ALL 162 games last year. Sheffield played in 39. So how is that a good signing when clearly isn't a durable player anymore.?? You can call Pierre average or whatever you want. Truth is he's a durable everyday player who can produce in his own way while being a quite good defensive player. You mentioned he only walked 32 times last year, but you failed to mention he had 204 hits which was tops in the NL and 5th in all the Major leagues.
