[QUOTE="Spr0ket, post: 1118879, member: 560341"] True story this, few years back when Memphis was called Fultron... freaked me out: So I was showing my friends my car after I got my JL installed (10" W6 sub). It wasn't anything special... the amp sucked for the setup, just some lovely daily driver bump. I've lived a little and learned a lot. So I was sporting my sub and liken it. I got to hear some other setups and even see for the first and last time some bass pumps (dumb design--two 8" subs to fit in a single 6x9 spot). It was after school and just hanging out. This strange looking goofball who looked like he had a bit too much meth pulls up and says "Wanna hear mine?" Yeah, sure, this rust bucket of a van had a stereo in it. So he hops out, pulls out this weired wired remote and steps on the juice. I was over 15 feet from the van trying to ignore this guy. The bass dropped me to my knees it hit so hard. I couldn't breath, literally. The equipment he had inside was nothing more than the old school rockford fosgate stuff (the days PPI Art Series amps were just released). I think it was a total of 12 15" subs. No clues what the ratings were with mics and stuff... this guy only hung around long enough to try and sell it in exchange for drugs. Weird afternoon it was.
