I work at a mailroom in a Bank of America office complex. Every day, I open envelopes and sort the contents for 6 hours, and then sort other various papers for the rest of the day. Today, since it's the beginning of the month, we got a fuck ton of loans to close, and as I as unloading the FedEx truck, 99% of me wanted to quit. No matter what job I'm doing, be it making smoothies, instlaling, or sorting loans, I always do my best, because IMO, any less is a waste. But today just broke my whole attitude. For 3 months, I've been giving this job my all, and trying to trick myself into thinking it's not too bad. I just can't do it anymore. Good thing is, my last day is next Friday, because I'm going back up to school. I'm going to try to get a job at a shop up in Arkansas when I get up there. I want to try to either sell or install audio. When I was an installer, it was a job I looked forward to every day. I enjoyed it, it was a challenge, time passed quickly, and I had a good sense of accomplishment at the end of the day. None of the aforementioned qualities apply to my current job. In other news, I paid off my credit card today. I ran up a nice $1100 debt over last semester, and have spent all summer paying it off. Mainly because I, the dumbass, kept using it. Credit cards ****. This one's going in the trash.
