Nice JN - I had one and (regrettably) did a swap for something else. Hey Bill - right on about the P22 - truth be told, I had one a couple years ago that jammed often, I cleaned it up and quantified it with the guy I traded to (he is a gunsmith). Fast forward to this past summer and a couple guys from work wanted to go shooting so I picked one up for like 280 at B&T in Middleburg (Rick and Jerry are great guys, they are the only gun shop I will spend money at, most my acquisitions are by trade or private sale). Its a great piece to have for teaching beginners and for training events. As far as stopping force/ability - keep in mind that Cho and that nutjob at Success Tech (IIRC) used Walther P22 - I say that to say that even a .22 round can be used for self defense. I understand that the .22 round is dangerous because it doesn't just impact and destroy a hole straight through, but it enters the cavity and ricochet's around causing more damage. As far as the KelTec - I have the 3rd generation (the latest) so reliability has been right on - no failures. It is a handful to shoot, it isnt the kind of firearm that you take to range to spend shells. If you are interested I can (swallow it) and meet you at Royal Ridge on 42 there between Bwick and Medina to let you shoot before you buy? I have plenty of stories about Royal Ridge as well - I will have to PM you some of the stories later on mang. - T
